    fall feelings

In case you missed the memo, it’s finally October. Except it’s 80 degrees and humid here in Brooklyn so that Fall feeling isn’t really happening. However, I came across this festive Fall survey over on Nadine’s blog (who found it here)and even though I’m tardy to the link up party, I’m going to do it anyway because I can’t resist. Favorite Fall Sweet Treat?  hmm.. apple cider donuts. good ones though because sometimes they could be dry. i like the ones with the cinnamon sugar on them, sometimes they’ll throw some apple bits in too. my mouth is watering. Red, Yellow or Green Apples? RED. like my home girl Snow White, i can’t resist a perfect red…

sweater weather tag! (totally not the candle)

The other night I was scouring the internet for something, anything to inspire me. I was in my usual funk of I have things to say but don’t know what to write. I went through all of the writing prompts on Pinterest, tried to come up with a witty list, possibly entitled 20 Things To Do When You’re Home Alone That Doesn’t Involve Hulu or Netflix. Except, what is there to do besides catching up on Hulu and Netflix when you have the TV to yourself? I was about to give up when I clicked the refresh button on my Reader. Up popped a new post from Kristen over at Peaches…

    delusions of grandeur

This past weekend Nicole and I took a trip to Central Park because the neurotic in me was convinced that if I didn’t get there soon, I would have missed all of this year’s beautiful foliage. Like the park doesn’t have enough trees in it’s nearly 843 acres. Here are some photos I took. I used picmonkey to enhance them, but I didn’t really have to. It’s days like this where I wish I lived close enough to call this my backyard. I’ve always imagined myself living in an apartment that is a cross between Meg Ryan’s in “You’ve Got Mail” (the windows! the french doors! the built-in bookshelves!) and…

    Blogtober14 Day 16: Fall fashion

Another day, another picture heavy post. Day 16 is all about Fall fashion. I scoured Pinterest and Polyvore for some “If I had the money, body and time to put this together, I would totally wear this” outfits. Enjoy! At the end of the day, I should really just live in  this shirt.

    Blogtober14 Day 13: fall recipe

Day 13 involves one of my most favorite things – food! A few years ago I went out to dinner at a bar/restaurant in my neighborhood. I looked over at the dessert menu that was posted on the wall and saw that they had apple cobbler. I ordered it and fell in love. The way the brown sugar thickened around the apples, the chewy and crumbly topping, the cold vanilla ice cream on top. I needed to replicate this at home. So I did what anyone who needed a recipe would do, I logged on to Pinterest. I didn’t know which one to choose so I printed out the one…

Blogtober14 Day 5: Fall bucket list

Day five and still alive! Today we’re supposed to talk about my Fall bucket list. I almost skipped today because to be honest, I don’t have a regular bucket list so I certainly don’t have a Fall themed one. Sure there are things that I want to do/accomplish/see in my lifetime, but whenever I say “I need to do ____ within ___ days/weeks/years” and then I don’t do it, I get annoyed and frustrated with myself. So to avoid heartache and eventual regret I tend to shy away from bucket lists. However, I’m really trying hard to be a better blogger and in the spirit of being a good sport,…
